DOOM Run in Windows Notepad Application [Video]

The first major FPS of its kind, DOOM was run in the Notepad application of the Windows operating system. It has been announced that the game will be released in the coming days.

To date, we have seen various games played in text-based applications such as Microsoft Excel. However, a Twitter user managed to take the concept of running games in text-based applications to a different dimension.

Twitter user ‘Samperson’ said that Windows ‘Notebook‘ first FPS game in the app Managed to play DOOM. DOOM was reflected in Notepad with letters and characters changing every second. Moreover, the game could be run at 60 frames per second.

Run DOOM in Notepad:

Samperson has already responded to some arguments in his post. The programmer who managed to run DOOM in Notepad noted that the image was not accelerated or Notepad application does not change its codes expressed.

Samperson, on the other hand, has not yet released the Notepad version of DOOM. The developer said he needed to make some fixes to make the game ‘publishable’, after which the game will post in a few days explained. The developer has not yet shared how he managed to play this game.
