The company, which stepped into the world of electric vehicles, which has increased its popularity recently, has been working for a long time. Pilotcar started the production of mini electric pickup trucks bearing the P-1000 name.
The most striking information about the P-1000 Electric Utility Vehicle is that 90 percent of the parts used are supplied from Turkey. Thus, the mini pickup truck, which will show the feature of being mostly domestic production, will be produced in 3600 units per year in the first stage. The founder of Pilotcar, Şükrü Özkılıç, made the following statements regarding the subject.
We have brought things to this place with our own means for 11 years without any support behind us. Due to exchange rates and taxes, vehicle prices remain a bit high. However, it contributes a lot in terms of cost for companies that use fleets.
There is a great interest in this initiative of Pilotcar from abroad. So much so that 70 percent of the orders for the P-1000 have come from abroad. More than 10 distributorship agreements were made in Europe. In addition, the P-1000 is expected to go on sale in the USA in 2023.
P-1000 Electric Utility Vehicle features
The P-1000 model was designed with a carrying capacity of up to 1870 kilograms. The vehicle, which has a maximum speed of 55 km / h and a range of up to 220 kilometers, has a charging power that reaches full capacity in 7-9 hours. The P-1000, which has a regenerative braking system and “0” emission features, will be produced with an Aluminum painted RTM type body design. The vehicle, which is designed for use in tasks such as transportation and garbage collection vehicles, will be produced as Chassis, Open Box, Cargo and Garbage Collection models.
