World-famous Walt Disney has invited Polygon Network (MATIC) to its 2022 Acceleration Program.
This year’s Disney Acceleration class will focus on “building the future of immersive experiences and mastering technologies such as augmented reality (AR), non-alterable tokens (NFTs) and artificial intelligence (AI) characters.”

Disney Selects Six Companies
- Polygon (MATIC): A scalable blockchain for developers to build Web3 experiences.
- Flickplay: A Web3 social app that allows users to discover NFTs linked to real-world locations.
- Inworld: Allows users to create interactive AI-driven characters.
- Lockerverse: A Web3 Platform empowering creators and brands to tell stories that define culture.
- Obsess: An e-commerce platform that allows brands to create 3D virtual stores.
- Red 6: An augmented reality company that creates a patented headset and interface that works outdoors.
The acceleration program will begin this week and will bring participants together with “Disney’s creativity, imagination and expertise”. Each participating company will receive mentoring support from senior leaders.
Bonnie Rosen, General Manager of the Disney Acceleration program, explained that the accelerator program is aligned with the company’s mission to leverage technology to build the entertainment experiences of the future. Rosen described the situation as follows:
