Discounted Payment Period for Traffic Fines Has Been Increased

In today’s issue of the Official Gazette, a decision was published that concerns all citizens who have a driver’s license and actively drive. “Regulation on Amending the Regulation on the Procedures and Principles to be Applied in the Issuance, Collection and Follow-Up of Traffic Administrative Fine Decision Reports” and traffic fines at discounted payment periods changes were made.

If we pay a traffic ticket within a certain period of time, at a certain discount We benefit. This was valid for 15 days until today. That is, as of the day the penalty is notified to you. in 15 days If you paid, you would get a 25 percent discount. This period has been changed with the new decision published in the Official Gazette.

The new period for the discount right for early payment is one month.

Regulation on Amending the Regulation on the Procedures and Principles to be Applied in the Issuance, Collection and Follow-Up of Traffic Administrative Fine Decision Reports With the new decision taken within the scope of the period defined for those who want to pay traffic fines at a discount, increased to one month. The following statements were included in the relevant regulation:

ARTICLE 1- The phrase “fifteen days” in the first sentence of the fourth paragraph of Article 14 of the Regulation on the Procedures and Principles to be Applied in the Issuance, Collection and Follow-Up of Traffic Administrative Fine Decision Reports published in the Official Gazette dated 6/4/2011 and numbered 27897 is translated as “one month”. , the phrase “one quarter” has been changed to “25% of the penalty”.

ARTICLE 2- Article 21 of the same Regulation has been amended as follows.

“ARTICLE 21- (1) The provisions of this Regulation shall be enforced jointly by the Ministers of Internal Affairs, Treasury and Finance, Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and Transport and Infrastructure.”

ARTICLE 3- Annex-1, Annex-2, Annex-3, Annex-3/A, Annex-4 and Annex-6 of the same Regulation have been amended as attached.

ARTICLE 4- This Regulation shall enter into force on the date of its publication.

ARTICLE 5- The provisions of this Regulation shall be implemented jointly by the Ministers of Internal Affairs, Treasury and Finance, Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, and Transport and Infrastructure.
