Jason Citron, the founder and CEO of the popular messaging program Discord, made a post on his Twitter account on November 8, implying that the Discord application will connect to Ethereum.
The CEO, who did not make a statement for that day, took a step back with his share only 3 days later.
Jason Citron said that at this time, Discord has no plans to integrate with Ethereum.
“Thanks to everyone for all the perspectives. We currently have no plans to ship this internal concept. For now, we are focused on protecting users from spam, scams and scams.
Web3 has a lot of good, but also a lot of problems that we need to solve at our own scale. More coming soon.”

It is unknown why Citron abandoned its Discord-Ethereum integration plan. However, negative reviews from users are thought to be effective.
Because while some users shared a screenshot that they canceled their Discord Nitro subscription, some users tweeted threatening to cancel their subscriptions.
“Disappointed but seems like I have no choice. I am not willing to support Discord if that is the direction the company is taking.” He was seen tweeting. Alongside the negative feedback from users, critics also criticized Discord for adopting a technology that “manipulates and harms the environment.”
