A live broadcast by Larian Studios, the developer of Baldur’s Gate 3, was banned because of the ‘sex with the bear’ scene. The developers of the game ‘criticised’ the ban with interesting explanations.
The ban in question took place during an ongoing live broadcast on TikTok. In the scene, which can still be watched on Twitch, one of the Baldur’s Gate characters, Astarion having a special moment with a bear is revealed.
Developers and makers of the game, made statements defending themselves on the subject, but the ban on TikTok still continues.
In fact, the issue in the game is not exactly touted as having sex with an animal, but it is still a matter of debate how ethical it is.
Said bear, after both of the characters agreed to have sex a druid taking the form of a bear. Druid Halsin is one of the characters that has attracted the attention of the players since the early access period of the game, and if the players wish, they can be friends with Halsin or, as can be understood from the scene, more.
Among the characters, including Halsin and Astarion There seems to be a lot of sexual attraction and intercourse. However, after this situation, it is a matter of curiosity how the actors will react to such scenes.
Different but similar comments came from the developers of the game.

According to the developers of the game, this scene was designed purely for laughter. Michael Douse, Publishing Director of developer studio Larian, argued that the situation was just a funny scene, and tweeted about it. In an interview with IGN, Larian’s boss Swen Vincke described the sex scene with Baldur’s Gate 3’s bear as “funny”.
Adam Smith, the lead writer of Baldur’s Gate 3, added: “Temporarily with a man who turns into a brown bear; a compassionate, consensual love.”

The PlayStation 5 version of the game will be released on September 6. There is no date yet for the Xbox Series X and S versions.
