Frankfurt Investors’ concerns on the stock markets remain deep. After a start to the week with strong price fluctuations, the leading German index Dax begins trading on Tuesday at a lower level of minus 0.5 percent at 12,212 points. The index for medium-sized stocks MDax and the euro zone index Euro Stoxx 50 are also weaker.
In Asia, the Japanese index Nikkei 225 also lost around two percent. In contrast, the leading indices on the Chinese mainland stock exchanges Shanghai and Shenzhen rose slightly.
The massive bombing of Ukrainian cities and fears of an impact on the economy are causing a gloomy mood on the stock markets. Investors should keep an eye on the deliberations of the seven leading industrialized nations (G7) on the war. The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj is to be involved.
