Dusseldorf The hunt for records continues on the German stock market. In the morning, the Dax rises to the new record of 16,114 points. The stock market barometer climbed 60 points within a few minutes. The index is currently trading at 16,104 positions, an increase of 0.2 percent.
The leading index has been dealing with this psychologically important mark of 16,000 points for a week. During this period there were several new record highs, but overall the Dax only managed a sideways movement in a narrow range of less than 120 points until today, Thursday. Yesterday’s trading day was remarkable: with 16,068 points, the Frankfurt benchmark achieved the highest closing price in its entire history.
