Dax is struggling at the 16,000 point mark

Dusseldorf The Dax moves away from the 16,000 point mark again in Tuesday trading. At noon, the leading German index slipped 0.4 percent into the red and is at 15,890 points.

Off the floor, the Dax was already at 15,980 points before it opened on Tuesday. Yesterday, Monday, the leading index was unable to reach the 16,000 point mark during the entire course of trading.

The lack of movement in the Dax is currently particularly striking. On Tuesday, there were only 63 points between the daily high and low, the equivalent of 0.4 percent. And for the past three weeks, the total trading range has been just 2 percent.

Such small trading ranges are usually resolved with dynamic price movements, i.e. rapid rises or falls. Investors are also waiting for a breakout of the trading range. Because sales in the 40 Dax stocks were lower on Monday than they have been in three months.
