Dax gives way – investors should expect profit-taking on “Black Friday”.

Dusseldorf After yesterday’s leap over the 14,500 point mark, the German stock market is slightly down. The Dax is trading at 14,516 points in the morning, a minus of 0.2 percent.

Next stop on the upside is the 14,700 point mark. On the downside, the weekly low of 14,321 points is significant. As long as the Dax is above this mark, the rally will remain intact from the end of September 2022.

Even before the start of trading, it was clear that investors should take profits into account on today’s “Black Friday”. In addition to the brilliant price increase on Thursday, this is mainly due to seasonal factors, as the technical analyst Jörg Scherer from HSBC Germany calculated.

In the USA in particular, this Friday has shone with profit-taking six times in the past ten years. Since 2018, the day after “Thanksgiving” has always brought price losses.
