Circle, One of the Largest Stablecoin Issuers, Registered in France

Circle, one of the largest stablecoin issuers, received a license as a digital asset company from France.

According to the statement made by the company, Circle has conditionally registered as a Digital Asset Service Provider (DASP) with France’s financial regulator AMF.

Circle’s operations in France will be managed by Coralie Billmann, who currently serves as the company’s COO responsible for Europe.

Billmann will ensure that Circle’s operations across Europe comply with MiCA. MiCA, prepared by the European Union to regulate the cryptocurrency industry, will come into force next year.

Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire said: “The conditional registration as a DASP in France is an important milestone as we strive to establish a legal platform in Europe.” said.
