In a lust for murder, in a frenzy of blood and freezing cold, Marcel Heße (23) killed the neighbor boy Jaden (9) and his Internet friend Christopher (22) with more than a hundred knife wounds in 2017, then disappeared. For days the SEK hunted the child murderer from Herne (North Rhine-Westphalia) – with success. Heße was caught, later sentenced to life imprisonment and preventive detention (with reservations), since then he has been in the high-security wing of JVA Werl. The 23-year-old was silent during the trial. Now he wants to talk.
BILD chief reporter Frank Schneider was the only journalist to meet the double murderer for an interview. What he had to say and what it is like to talk to such a cruel killer can be seen today at 10 p.m. in the BILD documentary “My greatest case”.

“He’s pale, thin, looks inconspicuous, helpless. Even if he doesn’t look that way, he’s one of the worst criminals, ”said the BILD reporter after meeting the double murderer.
Four years after the crime, the double murderer was already thinking about his future to the chief reporter, although he will certainly remain behind bars for another 20 years. He fears that he has no chance of rehabilitation. Because when the verdict was pronounced, the court had determined the “particular severity of the guilt”. A parole release after 15 years is practically impossible.
Remorse? Regret? Yes, especially for yourself. Heße: “I am not being rehabilitated very much, I have few prospects, and there is no therapeutic treatment. Apparently I am not suitable for groups. “

He only had talk therapy every three weeks, otherwise he was mostly sitting in his cell. “I’m in the detention center – with others who have all done something really bad, so we don’t blame each other. But the others are already saying that what I’ve done is the very last thing. “
The bestial murders in Herne were also shocking because Heße, 19 at the time, posted voice messages during and after his bloodshed, boasted in chat rooms with photos that showed him at the crime scenes.

“Today I distance myself from it, I had no prospects at the time, I wanted to kill myself. But I was too cowardly because I wiped out other existences, ”said Heße to BILD reporter Frank Schneider.
Today he says of his bestial bloodlust: “I was a martial artist, I can get 60 stab wounds in less than a minute. Jaden was dead quickly, I was good at handling the knife and stabbed the stitches very quickly. ”He stabbed the boy 52 times. Regret sounds different …
And further: “It was more of a rampage for me, an overkill, Jaden wasn’t a threat to me. My plan was, I can’t suicide, so I’ll kill someone else. “
Perverse: He also blames his victims: “If the door hadn’t been opened for me, it would probably have evaporated, maybe I would have just smashed a car. I felt desperate, robbed of my future. I didn’t want an office job, it’s like eight hours dead. I wanted a life worth living. “
At the end of the interview, which was in the BILD on Sunday appeared, the child killer explains: “I think I deserve a second chance, even if I did something very cruel. This must not be repeated. But recidivism rates are very low, so murderers are the least dangerous in freedom. “
