On February 6, two earthquakes with a magnitude of 7.7 and 7.6, which caused great destruction in 10 provinces in the Southeastern Anatolia region, caused the most loss of life in the history of the Republic. After the destruction caused by the earthquake, the search and rescue activity in which dozens of countries participated was started. Large companies also contribute to the structuring process both in this and the future. Finally, Baykar announced the cash and housing support amounting to 1 billion 855 million TL.
Baykar donated a thousand permanent residences, a container city for 2,000 people and hundreds of millions of TL!
Baykar has been providing both cash and humanitarian aid since the first day of the earthquake and publicly shares this on his social media accounts. In the first 4-day period, we saw that he made a donation of approximately 656 million TL. Now, with the support of permanent housing and container city, this donation has tripled.
In the statement made by Baykar, it was said:
“As Baykar, we are starting a housing mobilization by donating 1,000 houses in coordination with AFAD for the solution of the permanent shelter needs of the disaster victims. Our total aid amount has reached 1 billion 855 million TL. We will heal our wounds together.
In order to support the urgent need for shelter in the region, we are launching Baykar Container City, where 2000 victims’ brothers and sisters can live in the first place. We will get through these difficult days together.”

“Today, on behalf of our founder, the deceased Özdemir Bayraktar and Canan Bayraktar, we conveyed another 300 million TL in cash aid to AFAD.
