Bayraktar DİHA features that can take off and land vertically!

While everyone was waiting for the TB3s developed for the TCG Anadolu amphibious assault ship, Baykar gave the good news of a new product. Bayraktar DİHA, that is, the test flight video of the vertical landing and take-off unmanned aerial vehicle system was shared.

This new unmanned aerial vehicle, which can take off and take off vertically, can be used comfortably from naval platforms, outpost areas and in military units, since it does not need a runway. Here are the features of Bayraktar DİHA…

Europe’s plan has been revealed: Bayraktar TB2s will be copied!

The European Union may propose a partnership for the production of Bayraktar TB2. But this plan is wanted to be disrupted by France.

Bayraktar DİHA features

Bayraktar DİHA basic and advanced features:

  • Communication range: 150 km
  • Cruising and top speed: 45-50 knots to 80 knots
  • Operational Altitude and ceiling: 9 thousand feet to 15,000 feet
  • Airtime: 12 hours
  • Wingspan and length: 5 m – 1.5 m
  • Useful load capacity: 5 kg
  • Maximum take-off weight: 50 kg
  • Vertical take-off fully automatic flight system
  • Fully autonomous with sensor fusion assistance
  • Semi-autonomous flight mode with autonomous take-off and landing system
  • Fault-tolerant system architecture and digital data and video Link
  • Three redundant flight control systems and servo actuators
  • Electro-Optical (EO) and Infrared (IR) Camera Module
  • Laser distance meter – Laser pointer

Bayraktar DİHA is among the most advanced in its class in terms of features. This vehicle, which has a total of 5 engines and propellers, can take off and take off vertically thanks to its 4 electric motors and vertical propellers. Then, thanks to the single internal combustion engine and propeller behind it, it flies horizontally just like the TB2s.

In this way, the need for a runway in other UAVs is eliminated. Therefore, it can be easily ventilated from standard military ships or any military base and any point on the front. Of course, thanks to its 5 kg payload carrying capacity, this vehicle, which can be equipped with Electro-Optic (EO) and Infrared (IR) camera modules, and has a Laser distance meter and marker, actually turns into a small sized TB2.

As with other members of the family, Bayraktar DİHA is able to land and take off fully autonomously, thanks to the domestic and advanced software he has used. It should also be noted that it performs a semi-autonomous flight.
