Unmanned aerial vehicles produced by Baykar continue to prove themselves every day, both in the field and in tests. Today, Bayraktar Akıncı successfully completed the first firing test with the 340 kg KGK-SİHA-82 wing guidance kit.
Developed by TUBITAK SAGE and first tested in the summer of 2021, the KGK-SİHA-82 wing guidance kit can hit its target from a distance of 30+ km, as in today’s SİHA test. Because TUSAŞ Aksungur carried out a successful test last year.

Bayraktar Akıncı stands out from SİHAs such as TB2 and ANKA thanks to the high-weight ammunition it can carry, such as the KGK-SİHA-82 and TEBER-82. We can even add missiles such as SOM, BOZOK, GÖKDOĞAN and BOZDOĞAN among them.
Developed by TÜBİTAK SAGE on the UPS-82 for SİHAs such as Akıncı and Aksungur, this new ammunition is 20 nautical miles (35+ km) when launched from low altitude and 60 nautical miles (110+ km) when launched from high altitude, thanks to the winged guidance kit used. can reach range.

In addition, let’s say that Baykar conducted not only a shot, but also a flight test today. Because Akıncı SİHA, which took off from the vicinity of Çorlu, first went to the Gallipoli peninsula, then to Gebze over the Marmara Sea, and from there to the Sinop coast, passing over Zonguldak Ereğli, and hit its target on the sea from 30 km and returned.
KGK-SİHA-82, unlike other SİHA munitions, does not point directly to the ground after being left at low or high altitudes thanks to the wings on it. Instead, it can soar through the air, increasing flight time and range. As a matter of fact, in the test conducted today, after being dropped by Akıncı, it performed a flight of around 30 km and managed to hit its target directly with high precision.
