Analyst Explained: Here Are The Best Altcoins Of The Current Cycle!

A closely followed crypto analyst thinks that the leading tier-1 altcoin project, including Ethereum (ETH), Cardano (ADA), Avalanche (AVAX), and Polkadot (DOT), stands out in this market cycle.

Benjamin Cowen revealed during a discussion on the InvestAnswers YouTube channel that Ethereum is definitely his number one choice among tier-1 projects.

“I think Ethereum is by far the best. I don’t think the others are even coming close to that right now… I really value decentralization. It’s just a game between decentralization, scalability and security.”

In addition to the leading smart contract platform, Cowen said he has also invested in three other altcoins.

“As we enter this cycle, I should say top three or maybe top four because Ethereum is the easy answer. Apart from Ethereum, I can say that Avalanche, Cardano and Polkadot are the three main assets I have invested in this cycle. There are others who are good. Terra (LUNA) is hard to ignore. It’s hard to ignore when you’re buying literally billions of dollars worth of Bitcoin.”

He also explained why popular Ethereum rivals Solana (SOL) and Terra (LUNA) were not on his list.

“Some projects like LUNA and Solana aren’t because I don’t like them, it’s just because I’m late to the game for them. That’s why it’s easier to focus on the projects you’re actually starting, rather than the projects you’re late for.

These are the main ones. There are definitely many that I don’t care about, so I won’t list them, but I can say that I’ve been in the loop for Cardano, Polkadot, Ethereum, and Avalanche. Next cycle, when we rise again, I’ll probably have investments in a few others, or at least larger investments in them.”
