Dusseldorf Bath foam, anti-aging cream, luxury candles or car fragrances – Rituals is considered the fastest growing cosmetics brand in Europe. The founder and boss of the Dutch family business is the former Unilever manager Raymond Cloosterman, who developed the “Dove” brand there.

Founded in 2000, the wellness and beauty company Rituals generated sales of one billion euros last year. The most important market is Germany. Here, the entrepreneur wants to at least double sales in the coming decade.

Mr. Cloosterman, what does the morning routine of the boss of a wellness brand look like – extensive facial care in the bathroom and then breakfast by the light of your luxury candles?
I do two things in the morning: first our bed and then I take a freezing cold shower to wake up physically and mentally. Of course, most of the products I use carry our logo.
