Nena cancels the entire tour – “I’m not doing it!” – Music

After her criticism of the Corona measures, Nena is now making short work: she cancels her entire tour.

The pop star has canceled the concert tour planned for the coming year. With THIS statement: “I don’t want to talk about it for long. My tour in 2022 will not take place. And I won’t move it a second time, ”the 61-year-old posted on Instagram.

Why? The reason she cited corona-related restrictions: “I stand by my statement: ALL PEOPLE are WELCOME to a Nena concert. Here in our country things are going in a completely different direction at the moment, and I am not participating. ”

In the past few months there had been a number of turmoil about Nena’s concerts, at which she either criticized the conditions or even encouraged fans to ignore them.

► At the end of August, at her concert in Mallorca, Nena made fun of the corona rules that existed there, as the fans all had to sit on blankets in separate areas. Getting up was (actually) forbidden. During the song “Miracles Happen”, Nena walked through the crowd, even hugged some fans and encouraged the guests to get up from their seats and celebrate with her.

► In mid-August, the Passau concert organizer Oliver Forster canceled a Nena concert in Upper Bavaria after she was a guest at a private party in Baden-Württemberg, at which the nationwide “lateral thinker” Bodo Schiffmann and “Reichsbürger” Andreas-Heiko Müller were also present was.

It can no longer be denied that Nena supports “certain ideologies”, according to Forster. And further: “We want to spread joy and a positive atmosphere with our concerts. That would have been difficult with the latest developments ”.

► At the end of July, their Berlin concert ended before the encore. On stage, according to a report by the “Tagesspiegel” and several Twitter videos, Nena said about hygiene regulations: “I am threatened (…) that they will break off the show because you do not go into your boxes,” said Nena. “I leave it up to you whether you do that or not.”

Tickets for the 2022 tour could be returned to where they were purchased.
