650 hp electric Hyundai IONIQ 5 N introduced!

In the ever-growing electric car market, Hyundai is also making a name for itself with its IONIQ models. The manufacturer, which won the World Car of the Year award with the IONIQ 5 last year, has also managed to attract attention with the IONIQ 6 model. The South Korean manufacturer now comes up with the high-performance electric IONIQ 5 N.

Hyundai IONIQ 5 N stands out with its 650 hp engine

Hyundai introduced its first high-performance electric model, the IONIQ 5 N, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed held in England. With the IONIQ 5 N, the South Korean manufacturer intends to prove that electric cars can be fun too.

This powerful electric car produces 478 kW / 650 PS with N Grin Boost activated. The car, which can turn 21,000 revolutions, also hosts an advanced thermal management system with battery, engine oil and battery cooler.

Renault Scenic is different now!

Renault Scenic is different now!

Sharing the CMF-EV platform with Megane E-Tech Electric and Nissan Ariya, the new Scenic will now appear as an SUV.

IONIQ 5 N, which offers maximum cooling in high performance use by using independent radiators, is restrained by N brand brakes, which represent Hyundai’s most powerful braking system. In this braking system, 400 mm diameter front discs with four-piston, monobloc caliper are accompanied by 360 mm rear discs.

Produced using the award-winning E-GMP platform, the IONIQ 5 N differs from the standard version with sporty details both in exterior design and interior. Setting off with the theme of “Daily Sports Car”, the IONIQ 5 N stands out with its sporty design elements and powerful engine as well as its reinforced chassis.

Thanks to its reinforced chassis, the IONIQ 5 N, which has increased road holding in fast corners, is positioned in such a way that the engine and batteries maintain the rigidity of the vehicle. Thanks to the brand’s experience from the World Rally Championship, the front and rear axles are also more durable.

It is stated that Hyundai engineers, who want the vehicle to offer a fun drive in every sense, also spend extra work to improve the steering response. Presented with a specially tuned N R-MDPS (Motor Driven Power Steering) system for enhanced torque feedback, the IONIQ 5 offers a more direct and responsive steering experience.

Hyundai’s new high-performance electric car includes many different features. The first of these is N Pedal. This intelligent software in the IONIQ 5 N provides improved throttle sensitivity. Utilizing similar technology as in i-Pedal’s regenerative braking system, N Pedal prioritizes fast and exciting cornering over energy efficiency.

Special drifting system

N Drift Optimizer helps maintain the slip angle by balancing vehicle control. Thanks to the advanced electronic control technology, the Integrated Torque Kick Drift function allows the driver to drift more evenly.

The IONIQ 5 N also offers assertive gear shifting and racing car sound via integrated N e-shift and N Active Sound +. While N e-shift determines the balance between power transmission and gear shifting, N Active Sound steps in to increase driving pleasure with gasoline engine sounds.

The Hyundai IONIQ 5 N, which attracts the attention of performance enthusiasts with its N body kit, N black interior and sporty details, seems to bring a different perspective to electric models in all markets where it will be sold.
