The HR director at Lufthansa is therefore not even trying to promise holiday-hungry passengers smooth processes again for the coming weeks. “Unfortunately, the options for eliminating the bottlenecks in the short term are limited,” the manager told the Handelsblatt.

There are currently problems everywhere in the air traffic system, be it in airport ground handling services, security checks, air traffic control or the airlines themselves.

Nevertheless, he does not want to lose confidence: “I hope that with the removal of flights and our measures, we will be able to stabilize operations.” But this also means that the lack of reliability can only be compensated for by a lack of flights.
