Developed by Google’s subsidiary YouTube, the music application has been making a name for itself with new updates recently. So much so that now the new radio feature that YouTube Music is testing has emerged.

New feature of YouTube Music: Radio

Apps like YouTube Music and Spotify have millions of songs in their libraries. At the same time, they are working on many innovations to offer their users the kind of artists and music they want.

If we look at the recent user complaints, we can see that the application’s song recommendation algorithm is not satisfied. Acting on these reports, YouTube Music’s new feature called Radio has emerged. So much so that a Reddit user noticed this innovation and shared the first images.

The new Radio feature allows the user to create a custom song algorithm. In this way, only the kind of music they want is presented to the listener, and even a special album is formed. It has become clear how to use this feature, which is still in the testing phase.

After logging into the application, log in to the “Create a radio” section at the top of the page. Then continue by selecting the artists you want to listen to on the screen that comes up. You will be directed to the section where you will filter.

In the second stage, you have to choose between Family, Shuffle and Discover options. You can also filter below. After completing the process, YouTube Music will now suggest songs suitable for the genres you selected. It will also create a playlist.

Another innovation: Searching with hashtags

The second feature of YouTube Music was the hashtag/tag search format. Now users will be able to access the songs related to the entered tag. It will also not be redirected to a new search page for the searched text.

New features are still in the testing phase and the update has been released for some users only. It is expected to be available to everyone in the coming months.
