XRP Lawyer: “I’d Be Shocked If Ripple-SEC Case Isn’t Decided By This Date”

XRP altcoin John Deaton, who is known as the lawyer of the owners, talked about the result history of the ongoing legal battle between Ripple and the SEC in a YouTube video he published.

Referring to the past decisions of Judge Analisa Torres, John Deaton has introduced a new timeline for when the summary judgment will be delivered.

As it will be remembered, Deaton previously predicted the date of May 6, 2023 for the decision based on the previous report of the judge in the Daubert cases.

In his new estimate, Deaton also took into account the release of Hinman’s speech documents to the public by June 13, 2023. He said Judge Torres could most likely make the decision by the end of September 2023.

Speaking in an interview on Friday, the lawyer explained that the verdict would make more sense if the decision was made after all the Hinman documents were made public:

“I will be in for a big shock if we don’t get a decision from the Judge by the end of September. I would be absolutely shocked and I don’t think that will happen.”
