well…
In the 1-0 win in Oman, many spectators were surprised that DFB defender Lukas Klostermann (26/RB Leipzig) was allowed to play against Oman right from the start after a month-long break. His substitution after 30 minutes surprised the fans even more.
Is the Leipzig professional injured?
No! After the game, national coach Hansi Flick (57) gives the all-clear and solves the puzzle of changing Klostermann, saying: “It was exactly what was planned, including replacing Lukas Klostermann after 30 minutes.”
The Southampton professional Armel Bella-Kotchap (20) came on for Klostermann, who was injured for months due to a ruptured syndesmosis ligament.
Despite the disappointing performance a week before our first group game against Japan (23 November, 2 p.m.), Flick was optimistic after the game. “Everything was okay, it served its purpose. We want to let this game sink in.”
Hansi to touch!
The national coach also caused a laugh after the game!
As on Tuesday, the advertising boards had to be exchanged before the press conference after the game. Because the space was so small, they were carried over the journalists’ heads.
True to the motto “Hansi is himself”, he helped transport the advertising boards in order to exchange them.
Good to see: Flick clearly has fun doing it!
On Thursday, the national team will then travel to Qatar. Then it’s only a few days until our first World Cup game…
