Why vaccinated people also develop Covid-19 symptoms

Berlin The development of the number of corona cases in the past few weeks has probably made some people ponder a little. Because if you look at the number of people who have symptoms of an infection with Sars-CoV-2, the differences between the unvaccinated, those who have been vaccinated twice and those who have been boosted are small in the statistics – at least in the numerically largest age group of 18 to 59 year olds, in which most people get infected.

Many people also experience it themselves that family members, friends and colleagues fall ill despite multiple vaccinations. Sometimes with only mild symptoms, but sometimes with a more serious course of the disease. Apparently, the protection provided by the vaccines used to date is less and less sufficient to avoid the typical Covid symptoms such as cough, runny nose and fever.

According to official figures, between 122 and 142 out of 100,000 people were last caught, across all differences in vaccination status.
