New York, Brussels, Washington A rooftop terrace in Washington, the view is spectacular, with the congress dome gleaming to the left and the Washington Monument towering into the sky to the right. The “German American Business Council” invited to network, for almost 20 years the organization has been maintaining transatlantic business relations on behalf of the German Embassy in the USA.

Company representatives chat with diplomats and journalists over finger food and white wine, business cards are exchanged. A handshake and an American “keep in touch” seal the new contacts.

Events like this happen every day in the US capital, but this year the mood is particularly good – at least among investors who have locations in the US. The billions in subsidies from Joe Biden’s US government are having an effect, and the US is more attractive than ever for foreign companies.
