Dusseldorf Apple is expanding its European chip design center in Munich for a billion euros. Tesla has just submitted an application in Berlin-Grünheide to expand the brand new Gigafactory by more than 100 hectares.

However, such spectacular projects by well-known American global corporations hide the fact that Germany is losing its attractiveness.

Because foreign companies have significantly reduced their involvement in Germany in the past year: the number of investment projects announced by foreign companies in Germany fell by ten percent compared to the previous year to 841.

The two most important competitors in Europe – France and Great Britain – on the other hand recorded growth: in Great Britain the number of foreign investment projects rose by two percent to 993, in France by as much as 24 percent to 1222.
