Why Ethereum Classic (ETC) Price Keeps Rising?

A cryptocurrency that inherits Ethereum’s original blockchain Ethereum Classic (ETC), started the rally that you started a while ago, continuing this week as well. ETC, which was trading at $48.83 with an increase of 5.2% in the early hours of the trading day that started on Monday, continues to attract attention.

Why Is ETC Price Rising?

The total value of global cryptocurrency markets rose 4.9% to $2.1 trillion, while major assets in the crypto industry, including Ethereum and ETC, boosted their value at the time of writing.

As it is perceived by investors as a cheaper Ethereum investment ETC price had risen before. Ethereum was also trending on the price monitoring websites CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko at the time of writing.

According to data from Cointrendz, Ethereum received 4,076 tweets at the time of writing, making it the third most mentioned cryptocurrency after XRP and Bitcoin.

ETC has been on the rise recently as the excitement about mining has risen following an upcoming move to version 2.0 of Ethereum.

The Ethereum Foundation’s planned transition of the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) to a proof-of-stake consensus in the second quarter will “discredit” the largest proof-of-work ecosystem in EVM. In addition, the Ethereum Classic project is trying to stand out in some activities related to decentralized finance (DeFi). A decentralized exchange built on Ethereum Classic. HebeSwapstated yesterday that the third phase of its roadmap, which includes a liquidity pool of more than 6000 ETC, has been completed and the pool is currently 89.4% full with 5364 ETC.
