Dusseldorf Shortly after the gynecologist has confirmed the pregnancy, an organizational marathon begins for many professionals. The company has to be informed, the boss has to be interviewed and the planned parental leave has to be applied for.
From this point on, a lot will change, and not just for the pregnant women themselves. The company also has to reschedule, find a substitute and distribute tasks.
Attorney Barbara Förster and career coach Nane Nebel explain what couples should think about in advance and which important questions need to be clarified.

“Basically, there is no specific period within which I have to inform my employer about the pregnancy,” explains employment lawyer Förster.
