WhatsApp introduces “Hide” feature for timed messages

WhatsApp provides automatic deletion of messages in individual and group chats for a selected period of up to 90 days. “Timed messages” It brings the “Keep this message” option to the feature.

However, any group member will be able to disable the “Keep this message” feature. Thus, the timed message will be reactivated and will automatically disappear from the chat at the end of the specified time. When the “Hide” option is turned off the message in question will be immediately deleted for all participants.

Since the new feature is under development, it has not even been made available to beta users yet. For this reason, it is possible that its working principle may change after it is published, or it may never be released to the market. A feature that turns out to be in the development phase of WhatsApp is usually released shortly.
