When you send a photo to a contact via WhatsApp, the app compresses that picture. This significantly reduced the image quality. However, the new feature that WhatsApp is working on will bring a solution to this problem.

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on HD Photo sending feature. So much so that the company uses this feature today. Android (2.23.12.13) And iOS (23.11.0.76) distributed to beta users and started testing.

As you can see in the screenshot above, when you select an image from a gallery to post, there is an option with the HD icon at the top. By touching it, the user can choose whether to send the photo in HD (4096 x 2692) or standard (1600 x 1052) quality. When you send the photo in HD quality, there is a sign with the HD icon in the lower left part of the image.
