Cryptocurrency investors’ eyes and ears are turned to the news from the Parliament today. After the meeting was over, Mustafa Elitaş made statements and stated that the meeting was productive.

Stating that the meeting was generally positive and that they found a serious and well-equipped team, Arslan expressed that they were satisfied with this.
What Was Talked About Taxation?
Elitaş’s statements regarding taxation that “crypto money side thinks the same as us” confused some investors and caused some reactions.
Arslan, who also conveyed the details of this issue, used the following statements:
“Taxation was not an issue in this draft anyway. Two points have passed regarding taxation.
The first was this. There were 3 friends who joined under the name of Blockchain Initiative. These friends said, “The storage of coins in cryptocurrency wallets can be controlled by the state and banks. They said, “We are 5% from every money we send and 5% from every money we receive.”
Actually, that’s what was going on there. In fact, at that point, I got involved and said, “We do not see a regulation on this issue as a problem in Turkey. However, you have to regulate the stock markets first.” I said.
We didn’t offer anything on tax. There was no offer from the other side in this regard. Just as I mentioned, friends named Blockchain Initiative made a statement on this subject as above. I intervened and stated that our priority is the regulation of the stock markets.
We stated that there is no income tax on the stock. We stated that there is no tax when buying and selling dollars.
Government officials also did not have an approach like we would definitely bring taxes. But they have this in mind. They say that from each trade, there can be a rate of 1 in 1000 or 1 in 10,000. There was an issue of doing this over the exchanges as well.”
