Frankfurt Anyone who invested in real estate was usually right in the end as an investor. In the third quarter of 2021, the prices for residential real estate in Germany rose at a record pace. They grew from July to September by an average of twelve percent compared to the same period last year, as the Federal Statistical Office recently announced. The previous record, which was only set in the second quarter with 10.8 percent, was thus clearly exceeded. It is growth that savings accounts usually no longer offer.

But the fear that the boom on the real estate market could come to an end is great – especially since more and more voices have been heard in recent weeks and months. The Bundesbank recently warned again of overheating on the market.

So what do investors have to prepare for in the German real estate market in 2022? Is it still worth investing?

Below is an overview of what experts and industry managers expect for the coming year.
