Western Digital is in trouble with hackers
A total of 29 screenshots revealing WD’s emails, documents and video conferences within the company have been uncovered by hackers. With these images, the pirates highlight Western Digital’s inability to resolve the issues.
WD continues to investigate how hackers break into their systems. The company had to shut down its cloud services for two weeks to overcome the breach. This situation has angered users of My Cloud, My Cloud Home, My Cloud Home Duo, My Cloud OS 5, SanDisk ibi and SanDisk Ixpand Wireless Charger.

Late March this year, it was revealed that unnamed threat groups had breached Western Digital’s systems and stolen 10TB of sensitive data. This group, whose ties to any group could not be revealed, demanded a substantial ransom from WD. Threatening WD, the group also issued a message stating that if the ransom is not paid, they will spread the information online.
Hackers state that WD is in the possession of stolen information snippets that show files with code signing keys, unlisted phone numbers, and screenshots of internal data. It is a matter of curiosity what Western Digital will do about it.
