Munich Christmas in midsummer: The chip industry can look forward to 52 billion dollars in subsidies in the USA. Parliament in Washington has approved state aid, only President Joe Biden has yet to sign the Chips Act.

The industry rejoices: “The congress took up a decisive challenge of our time and seized the historic opportunity to strengthen American semiconductor manufacturing, chip design and research,” said John Neuffer, President of the Semiconductor Industry Association. The law strengthens the local economy and national security.
