Ukraine War: Interview with Estonian Defense Minister

Stockholm Estonian Defense Minister Kalle Laanet does not see the end of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s expansion plans. “If the West or NATO don’t stop Putin, he will go on and on,” he said in an interview with the Handelsblatt. The Kremlin chief is constantly testing the red line and borders of western states. It is not clear what is going on in Putin’s head. However, history has shown that he must be stopped early.

He is “one hundred percent convinced” that Putin only understands the language of strength, said Laanet. The negotiations of Western politicians in the Ukraine war could not have prevented the Russian President from implementing his plans in Ukraine.
