Two Safari features that iPhone users don’t know about

As technology becomes an integral part of our daily lives, it is very important to keep smartphones organized. Apple, on the other hand, recommends keeping applications running in the background on iPhone, while closing unused tabs, especially in Safari. This Safari “use trick” went viral on social media.

How to auto close Safari tabs on iPhone?

Too many tabs open in the background in Safari iPhone performance may affect. However, you may not want to close each tab manually one by one. Apple, on the other hand, allows you to do this with one click, with an update for Safari a while ago.

This simple but effective method will make the tab closing process easier. It will also save you the need to close each tab individually.

  • Step 1: Locate the open tabs icon in the lower right corner of the Safari browser.
  • Step 2: Instead of clicking on the icon, press and hold the icon for the delete all tabs option menu.
  • Step 3: Select the “Close All Tabs” button.

On the other hand, Apple introduced a feature in iOS 13 that allows tabs to be closed automatically after a certain period of time. To enable this option, you can follow these steps:

  • Step 1: Open the Settings app.
  • Step 2: Choose Safari.
  • Step 3: On the Safari options page, tap on “Close Tabs”.
  • Step 4: You can choose to turn it off automatically after a day, a week or a month from this menu.

If you are a Safari user, do not neglect to apply these settings to improve iPhone performance. On the other hand, it should be noted that Chrome or other browsers have similar supports.
