Finally, the technology giant has released a long-awaited feature that is currently used on iPhones for iPads. The Battery Health menu is now available and only on the newest tablets. Additionally, maximum battery capacity has been added to iPads, as in the iPhone 15 series. In other words, M2 iPad Air and M4 Pro users will not only be able to see Battery Health but also use the 80 percent charging option. Thanks to this feature that extends battery life, the iPad will automatically stop charging when it is 80 percent charged.

But no matter how useful the new feature is, it was only released for the new M2 Air and M4 Pro. None of these features were released for previous models. Old iPad users will have to use a third-party application for the Battery Health menu, even if they download the latest iPadOS 17.5 update.
