Twitter will limit accounts that tweet copied!

Twitter Security announced today that it will impose sanctions on users who share copied tweets in a statement from its own account. Elon Musk stated that besides Twitter being a more free democratic platform, it should also be cleaned from spam accounts.

If the social media platform detects a violation of rights in the shared post, it will apply the following restrictions;

  • Duplicated tweets will not be displayed in the Tops and Trends section.
  • The account with the copied tweet will not be recommended on the timeline of unfollowers.

Twitter explained that sharing similar content or the same posts is sometimes a tactic, but this reduces the experience of other users. The company stated that users who see the infringing posts in the post on their blog account should click the Notify option from the three dots section in the tweets to take action.
