With a decision taken last July, BTK imposed an advertising ban on Twitter and prevented the platform from making money from Turkey. According to the decision taken on July 21, if a representative was not appointed within three months, Twitter’s bandwidth would be reduced.

This will reduce browsing on Twitter from Turkey. Therefore, the company is expected to fulfill its representative obligation in a short time.

In the official statement previously shared, “Foreign social network providers with more than 10 million daily access from Turkey, including Twitter, were separated and their representatives were held fully authorized and responsible in administrative, technical, financial and legal aspects. “If a representative is not appointed within three months, narrowing Twitter’s bandwidth will be on the agenda,” it said.
