Attracting attention with its steps on donations collected during Russia’s occupation of Ukraine Tron (TRX) founder Justin Son confused the minds with his statement to the Chinese media.
Less than a week ago, the Ukrainian government received more than $50 million against the Russian invasion launched on February 23. cryptocurrency announced that he had received the donation.
Famous names of the crypto world have expressed their support for the donation campaign and sent millions of dollars in donations. Sun, the founder of Tron Blockchain, who is also a diplomat recently, was one of the prominent names in the donations collected for Ukraine.
Tron Founder Posts Confusing Message on His Chinese Twitter Account
Despite this, Sun takes a different approach in his statements on Chinese social media platforms. Sharing articles about donation campaigns related to Ukraine, Sun also referred to the virtual meeting he held with a Russian diplomat in his post on March 1, both on his Chinese Twitter account and on his Weibo account:
“In our video call with Russia’s World Trade Organization representative Dmitry Lyakishev, we talked about the use of technology in the humanitarian field for the development of Russia, such as the potential benefit of blockchain technology to citizens who do not have access to the financial system. I hope to strengthen our cooperation with Russia in the future!”
It was noteworthy that this message shared by Justin Sun was not shared from the English Twitter account, which has 3.3 million followers.

A high-profile cryptocurrency figure with a large following in both the US and China, Sun seems to be playing both sides. While the rest of the world largely condemns Russia’s attack on Ukraine, the public in China is more sympathetic to Russia.
