Burladingen Trigema boss Wolfgang Grupp wants to continue to run the textile manufacturer as a registered merchant despite the burden of high energy prices. However, the entrepreneur does not rule out conversion to a GmbH if the crisis worsens.
“If I am brought to my knees by the decisions of others, then I can no longer take responsibility for it and I would have to protect my family by choosing the legal form of a GmbH,” says Grupp in an interview with the Handelsblatt.
The textile manufacturer based in Burladingen is particularly concerned about the high price of gas. He is currently talking to energy suppliers about alternatives, says Grupp. However, this is not a quick solution: “I have to pay in the short term and hope that the prices will go down again.”
