About a week ago, Bitcoin fell $2,000 to $28,000 within minutes as the report claiming that the SEC had finally approved a spot BTC ETF was proven false. However, the bulls decided to act on the momentum and began pushing the cryptocurrency higher later that week. This resulted in a price rally of over $30,000 over the weekend and an even more impressive rise on Monday and early today. BTC was trading above $30,000 yesterday before embarking on a major rally that led to hundreds of millions of dollars of short positions being liquidated in the final trading hours in the US.
