Dell has released a critical update to close two security vulnerabilities detected in its products and software. The company warned its users about the issue and also said that personal data could be endangered. Additionally, the National Cyber Incident Response Center (USOM) also warned Dell users about this issue.
USOM warns of two vulnerabilities in Dell systems
According to the information shared by Dell, the vulnerabilities were tracked under the code names CVE-2024-28979 and CVE-2024-28978. Accordingly, it explains, Dell OpenManage Enterprise It created an unauthorized access vulnerability in versions 3.10 and 4.0 of the software.
Dell stated that it allows attackers to access system resources without permission. It was also revealed that in versions before version 4.1.0, there was a CSS vulnerability and attackers could access the JavaScript code. This means that target systems can be compromised through Dell OpenManage Enterprise.
