Today, TikTok offers users two different streams called For You and Following. The For You stream contains the videos the app recommends, and the Following tab contains the videos of the people you follow.

The new feature, as the name suggests, will allow you to dominate the events near you. In this way, I think users can discover more new places.” made statements.

Speaking to TechCrunch, TikTok confirmed that it is testing its new feature with a small group of users in the Asian region. Users selected for testing can see For You, Following, and Soon tabs on the app’s home page.
Analysts think that TikTok wants to rival Snapchat with this move. Recently, Instagram also offered a similar location-based feature to users.
It is estimated that TikTok will also use the streaming tab, which it calls Soon, for local advertisers. It is not yet known when the feature will be available to all users.
