One of the most popular collections in the NFT industry and built on the Ethereum blockchain, Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs have experienced an incredible event.
According to data from the famous NFT marketplace Opensea, it turns out that Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT #835, which was purchased in the summer of 2021 for around $50,000, retails for just 115 DAI ($115). Whereas the current value of NFT sold was approximately (106 ETH) $350,000.
It is considered that this sale transaction may be an error or hacking event.
Because the information received from Opensea shows that the previous owner of the NFT named “cchan” accepted the offer of 115 dollars. However, the selling price of $115 is 99.9% lower than the base selling price of NFT.
Seller Cchan sold another NFT, Mutant Ape #11670, to the same buyer. This NFT, with a base selling price of 22.6 Ethereum, was sold for 25 DAI ($25).
While it is not clear why the seller sold the NFTs in question at no price, it is thought that the seller may have mixed DAI with ETH.
Because Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT #835, which was sold for 115 DAI, was previously bid between 75 ETH and 106 ETH.
Dealer Cchan bought Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT #835 in August 2021 for 16 ETH.
The Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT #835 in question is not the first NFT to be sold at a low price.
Because an NFT collector mistakenly sold $850,000 worth of CryptoPunk for $19,000.
