This is how your behavior affects your Schufa score

Dusseldorf If you want to take out a loan or rent an apartment, you can’t get past it: the Schufa. The protection association for general loan security provides its contractual partners with information about the creditworthiness, i.e. the creditworthiness of private individuals, for example. But although everyone has heard of the credit agency, very few understand how it works.

In this episode, the head of the Schufa, Tanja Birkholz, answers the questions of the Handelsblatt Today listeners. How long is the data stored at the Schufa? How is the base score composed and what exactly influences it? Lena Jesberg spoke to Tanja Birkholz about this at the Handelsblatt bank summit.
