Dusseldorf When Telekom boss Tim Höttges talks about mobile phone coverage on trains, he likes to talk about “black shepherd dogs”. At the Annual General Meeting in April, the CEO said: “While our competitors all have dogs with many black spots, but above all many white spots, we want to build the black shepherd dog – in other words, a nationwide supply of all rails in Germany.”
What sounds funny is apparently well received by the audience and rhetoric professionals. With his appearance, Höttges was voted overall winner of the exclusive, extended Handelsblatt speaker ranking for the second time in a row. The special feature: With the exception of Telekom, Airbus and Qiagen, no DAX company dared to return to event halls with an audience. Instead, it was only streamed.
