This Bitcoin Miner Hits 30 Percent Increase in Production Capacity

Cryptocurrency mining company Iris Energy Limited has increased the production capacity of its British Columbia facility by 30%.

According to the statement made by Iris Energy, the company has shipped some S19j Pro model miner devices, which it keeps in its Texas facility, to British Columbia, increasing its production capacity to 1.5 EH/h.

Although the devices that the company has shipped and continues to ship here have a total production capacity of 2.0 EH/s, only 0.4 EH/s of these have been installed.

Authorities in British Columbia have suspended requests from new cryptocurrency miners to connect to the regional grid. According to Iris Energy’s statement, this decision did not affect the company’s 160-megawatt data center in the region.

Iris Energy produced 19% fewer bitcoins during December than in November, and also generated 27% less revenue than in November: $2.1 million.

The company stated that this decrease in production performance was due to some hosting deals that were terminated in the previous month.
