These US stocks are the winners of the quarterly season

Dusseldorf In the USA, the reporting season is underway, and technology companies in particular have had ups and downs: the leading Nasdaq index, for example, dropped more than four percent in a single day – mainly due to the crash of Facebook’s parent company Meta. Alphabet and Amazon, on the other hand, rose sharply: Their shares reacted to the quarterly figures with a double-digit increase.

Strong fluctuations seem to be the new standard in the stock market year 2022: volatility instead of reliability. How investors can adjust to, and perhaps even benefit from, this new and rather jittery normal is what today’s episode is all about.

In order to process the most important findings from the US accounting season, we invited Markus Koch as an expert. He’s been covering Wall Street in New York for 25 years and knows exactly why tech stocks have been so wildly divergent lately. We also talk about how Warren Buffet manages to beat the market by far in these times.
