Streaming on the rise
Dusseldorf Today, people stream as they please and the viewer can enjoy their individual program at any time. The pandemic period has given providers – primarily from the USA – a further boost.
Watching endless series all night long has dispelled boredom for many people.
Two thirds of US citizens already use video streaming services. Germany is still lagging behind at almost 50 percent. But that only seems to be a matter of time.
It is the US providers that dominate the video streaming market. Pioneer Netflix is no longer unchallenged, Amazon Prime and Disney+ are catching up.
